As a part of the recent economic stimulus package, Social Security recipients will see a rebate check in the coming months. This is a part of the package that President Obama has passed  and will allow for individuals who receive Social Security disability payments to receive a $250 rebate check.

The $250 rebate check will go to individuals receiving certain types of Social Security payments. To be eligible for the rebate, the individual had to have been receiving payment during the months of either January, December, or November of last year.

It will take several months before the rebates are sent out because of the number of Social Security recipients.  Estimates believe that everyone will receive the check by the end of May, which would mean that payments will start around the beginning of summer.
