On-duty Detective Injured in Crash

A plainclothes detective in South Bend, Indiana was injured when his unmarked police SUV was struck by a vehicle driven by a 17-year old girl. The teen hit the officer’s vehicle while it was parked alongside Indiana 23 and Mayfield road at around 11:00 p.m, knocking the vehicle into a ditch.

Workers Compensation Board will not Reduce Collateral

The Workers Compensation Board of Indiana said it will not reduce the amount of surety bonds that are used as collateral.  The request was brought forth by several employers through out the state.
